In order to get what you want you have to know what you want. For many people that creates a dilemma. It is key to your success and your communication with the universe to know what you want from this life. Without this clarity and focus it can be difficult to guide your own destiny. Knowing what you want demands that you acknowledge who you are. Knowing what you want allows you to isolate the specific areas of this business you should pursue.

The Core of Your Wants

If the answers to all your wants are general then your chances of achieving them may be limited. What you may want are changes in your life that you believe you will get if your desire to become a successful actor comes to pass. Let’s look at your wants in relation to this business. For example, what do you want from a network show? Do you want money? Do you want respect? Do you want adoration? Do you want relationships? Do you want excitement?

You may believe that these things will make you happy. For example, you may believe that if you had the money, power, and notoriety that come from a successful professional acting career that you would be happy. So, in essence you really want to change the way you feel. Your core desire is to feel better about yourself both emotionally and physically. It is the vibration of those feelings that supports a frequency of comfort in you. But, nowhere in the history of man has becoming rich and famous assured joy and happiness. Actors tell many of their stories by creating characters that have achieved wealth and fame to still have eluded happiness.

Many of the beliefs you have about being a successful professional actor may be based on the belief that all of the rewards that come from this career will change the way you feel. It may be the feelings that you believe these things will generate that are your true search. And, once you change the way you feel, that changes the frequency level of your life transmission to the world. Thus, the way you think.

Personal Power

We all strive for personal power in three primary areas of our lives. Those three areas are our health, our happiness and our security. These things are yours for the taking because you already know what you need to do to be healthy. You already know that happiness is a perception. Therefore, it is a choice.

But, what about security? Security is an acceptance of need. You already know if your needs surpass your financial ability. You already know when you must make the money you need. And, you already know when your security is based on wants rather than needs. If not, you may need to investigate why you are setting yourself up for financial misery. It is hard to accept that you are the one creating your own lack of security by putting yourself in a financial place where you say you don’t want to be.

All of your behaviors are driven by a feeling you believe something will give you. For example, it’s not getting the soap opera role; it’s the feeling you believe will come from getting it. It’s not getting the Broadway job but the feeling you believe that you’ll get from getting it. It’s not getting married, it’s the feeling you believe you’ll get from doing it. Is there any behavior in your life that does not give you feelings that will hopefully change your life?

It may be choices in your behavior that are creating results that are counter to your desire for health, happiness and security. If you have not consciously identified your wants, you may be motivated by needs rather than wants. Remember, the universe responds to what you transmit.

If you feel you are driven by needs instead of wants, evaluate how you really feel in the big three primary areas of your life. Evaluate how you are doing in relation to the big 7 areas of your life. How are things going physically? How are things going emotionally? How about financially? What’s going on personally and professionally? How about intellectually and maybe most important… spiritually?

You want to manage your emotions so that you can achieve the feelings you believe will come with success now? You want to feel good about yourself now rather than waiting on success. You can use knowledge of the law of attraction to vibrate your energy at a frequency that will attract the kind of energy you want to experience.

Of course, becoming a star will bring personal power. It will change your life. You will have far more responsibility to yourself and to others. Are you prepared for what these added responsibilities will mean to you? How will you manage the stress and the responsibilities? How will you survive in the fish bowl existence?

Listening to your Internal Dialogue

The quest to maintain control of your destiny is in your knowing or identifying what you want and what you are communicating to the universe. What you are transmitting to the universe can be monitored by being aware of your internal dialogue. If you make yourself aware of your internal dialogue you can monitor the frequency of the life energy vibrations that result from these thoughts. Unhappy thoughts, agitation, angry internal communications, thoughts of depression and loneliness have a corresponding energy frequency that will attract the same to you. There are countless frequency transmissions that vibrate from your body at any given moment. Your goal is to be aware of those life transmitting energy frequencies and change them physically and then change the internal dialogue. But, to do this you must train yourself to listen to your thoughts, not just respond to them.

Start listening to your thoughts today. Be aware of the connection between your thoughts and your body language. Separate your feeling from your thoughts. If you feel depressed it is because you are thinking depressive thoughts. The feeling is literal in its response. It has actual measurable physical associations. It affects breathing, posture, neuro-transmitters in the brain and can be controlled by you. You can guide your body by changing your perception of your thoughts. This can be done through focus. This ability to be aware of your internal dialogue and redirect it is critical in your journey to a successful professional acting career as well as a successful life. Remember, if you want to avoid pain and experience pleasure then change how you physically feel. You will not find happiness, even in success, if you don’t find it as part of the journey as well.

Your internal dialogue is the path to your success if you learn to listen to it rather than respond to it. You can sustain your happiness while fulfilling your many new responsibilities. You can even be prepared for the responsibilities to people called fans. You can prepare yourself now for possible future negative experiences so that you are not controlled by them through your internal dialogue.

Knowing the things you want and realizing how to get them is what will prepare you for success and happiness. Remember, the more negative the thoughts are in your internal dialogue, the lower your transmitting energy level. Your internal dialogue must be monitored and negative thoughts must be replaced so that you can get what you truly want in the big three areas of your life: health, happiness and security. You can find your health, happiness and security now by listening to your internal dialogue and by replacing the negativity with more positive thoughts. These positive thoughts will raise the energy vibration to a frequency level that will attract what you desire.

Perception

Perception is the way you choose to experience your life. It is the answer to finding health, happiness and security. What can be done in your life through becoming aware of the power of perceptions is incredible. What will be done, however, can be another story. Most of the time it is not a person’s talents that get in the way of success but the perceptions that create the emotional states that derail people. When you’re feeling frustrated you are not as effective as when you are “on a roll”. However, if you become frustrated while “on a roll” that changes the frequency of your energy. If you can shift to a positive vibration you can return to the pleasurable feeling of being “on a roll”.

What you need to identify is what allows you to be the best you when you are “on a roll” and what causes your behave badly when you are not. What is it that controls your emotions and physical states? Which comes first thoughts or feelings? Is it the negative feelings of low frequency leading to the thoughts of despair, or are the thoughts of despair causing the negative feeling of low frequency? This question can only be answered by each individual with clarity and understanding.

It is my contention that it is the feeling that is attached to a thought that creates negative internal dialogue.

In either case the solution to it is in your control. You can choose how and what you are thinking about. You can choose to be consciously tuned into the vibrational frequency of your physical body.

Whether you are aware of it or not you decide each day if you will stay depressed. You decide each day if you will let everyone you come into contact with know how miserable you are. You decide each day how you will project your emotional need states. You decide each day to let your feelings lock into negative or positive thoughts.

So what if you have a bad day; so if you decide “today I’m going to behave badly.” This is your right if it is a clear choice. If you choose to wallow in darkness, then you should go for it. But, you might want to discover why you choose something that brings pain and discomfort to you. It just may be that an unconscious need is being fulfilled through your bad behavior.

Once you are aware of how you perceptions operate you can use true logic that brings out the best you. You can learn to manage your perceptions so you can be productive and powerful within the goals that you seek. You can do this by deciding to take control of the feelings and thoughts that control your consciousness.

In order to control perception you must make a choice. You can choose to stay with the negative thoughts that support staying in the low frequency energy transmission. Or, you can choose to change your perception and thereby forcing your energy to adjust to the frequency needed to support the positive perception. You must make the decision when needed and, it will take practice. It will require that you make the choice over and over again. But, you will prevail.

Remember, true logic is always choosing a perception that brings out the best you. You can learn to manage your perceptions so you can be productive and powerful within the goals that you seek.

During the week become more aware of your thoughts (internal dialogue) and compare those thoughts to your physical body's presentation. If you realize that you are slump shouldered and listless change your body position. Become a winner physically and see how your thoughts change.
